Caprichem was started in the Western Cape. We are situated in Blackheath, Cape Town, Bravo Pro in George and Ecokem (East Cape Chemical Co) in Eastern Cape.
Although branches exist only in the Western Cape, Caprichem conducts business
well outside these borders. Currently we supply major companies in the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Southern Cape, Kwazulu Natal, Namibia, Gauteng, and the West Coast Region as well.

Food & Beverage Industry
Our HYGENIE brand offers products for food processing facilities, poultry farms, breweries, beverage manufacturers, dairies, bakeries, restaurants, food retailers and basically for all food preparation areas. All our disinfectants are tested and approved by NRCS against the Compulsory Specification for Disinfectants and Detergent-disinfectants (VC8054) and bares a registration number. It also conforms to the European standards(EN1276) and is tested to a Log 5, which means it kills 99.999% of all germs.
Dairy Industry
We house a wide spectrum of specialized disinfectants and detergents for the dairy industry. Our products are highly concentrated and offer great germicidal effects. HYGENIE dairy products are used for cleaning and sanitising of milking machines, pipelines, bulk tanks and any other dairy equipment. Caprichem has developed the use of dairy chemicals for processing and sanitation within the dairy industry for safe milk production.
Wine
We house a wide spectrum of specialized disinfectants and detergents for the wine industry. Our products are highly concentrated and offer great germicidal effects. HYGENIE wine products are used for cleaning and sanitising of filling machines, pipelines, bulk tanks, and any other wine processing equipment. Caprichem has been developing and producing cleaning- and metal surface treatment products since 1995. We supply an innovative and complete range of quality cleaning chemicals such as industrial cleaners, rust removers, rust convertors, metal brighteners, hand cleaners, degreasers and so much more.
Floorcare Industry
Today we are one of the largest suppliers of floorcare products supplying the industrial, commercial, and domestic market. Our WIZARD floorcare products boast a complete range from ammoniated and none ammoniated strippers, low and high solid sealers and a full range of maintenance products, etc.
Marine Industry
Caprichem has been developing and producing cleaning and metal surface treatment products since 1995. We supply an innovative and complete range of quality cleaning chemicals such as marine cleaners, rust removers, convertors, and brighteners, amongst other products to the marine industry.
Retail Industry
Caprichem offers a vast number of products for nearly every daily living cleaning requirement. Construction Industry
Our construction chemicals division offers advanced chemicals solutions for new construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of structures: concrete admixtures, cement additives, chemical solutions for underground construction, waterproofing systems, sealants, concrete repair & protection.
Contract Manufacturing
Caprichem continuously works hand in hand with our Raw Material Importers in developing new products and keeping up to date with new developments abroad. Our contract manufacturing division constantly requires us to develop products for those whom we manufacture for.

We manufacture in the Western Cape. As a manufacturer, we are completely independent
and not reliant upon any other sources for products. All our products are manufactured inhouse
and are manufactured to the highest quality standards at all times. The Company specialises
in the manufacturing of chemicals and cleaning detergents as well as the distribution of cleaning accessories. Certain of our products are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and biodegradable.

All products we supply, and manufacture are quality guaranteed. Should a customer not be
completely satisfied with a product, we will gladly uplift and replace the product.
Caprichem continuously works hand in hand with our Raw Material Importers in developing new products. Our contract manufacturing division constantly requires us to develop products for those whom we manufacture for. We have our own full equipped inhouse laboratory with a qualified team of four Analytical chemists. We utilise our research and development in conjunction with our inhouse laboratories qualified Analytical Chemists to ensure product integrity, uphold ISO 9001 2015 Standards, handle customer queries and keep abreast with new trends and developments within the industry.
As an ISO 9001 accredited company we strictly follow high quality levels within the company, from our administration to the product reaching our clients stores and even beyond. In manufacturing each and every raw material is checked and Quality Controlled before entering our stores. In the manufacturing process, all our equipment is kept in perfect working order at all times. Each batch of product that is manufactured has a batch number allocated, which is unique to that batch. A retention sample of each batch manufactured is kept for a one-year period to refer to if necessary.
As part of our quality standards, we have numerous products that conform to SABS standards. Our Disinfectants are also registered with the NRCS (national registered control system), a division of SABS in accordance with Specification Act, 2008 (Act No.5 of 2008). We have a close alliance with the SABS and work hand in hand to ensure our products are of the highest standard.
All our disinfectants are tested and approved by NRCS against the Compulsory Specification for Disinfectants and Detergent-disinfectants (VC8054) and bares a registration number. It also conforms to the European standards (EN1276) and is tested to a Log 5, which means it kills 99.999% of all germs. Log reduction is a mathematical term used when testing product efficacy to indicate the number of microbes eliminated by use of the disinfectant. Prior to the new Compulsory Specification, disinfectants were required to kill 99.9% (log3 reduction) of tested bacteria. The new specification calls for a log5 reduction level i.e. 99.999% of the microorganisms must be eliminated within a specified time. – Usually 5 minutes
Caprichem has 12 Sales Representatives situated in the Western Cape Region, 1 rep each for the City Bowl District, Garden Route, Witzenberg, Cederberg, Helderberg, 2 reps each for Southern Suburbs, Langeberg, 3 reps for Northern Suburbs and 2 reps National. Each specializing in a specific division, we are able to allocate a representative to each customer, providing a “hands on” approach and service. We also provide free training to our customers. Caprichem's representatives are HACCP accredited trained officers whereby we can assist our customers with the implementation of HACCP. Our Sales Team is highly professional and expertly trained to assist you with any information required. Our Sales Representatives as well as our telesales personal are on hand to look after all our customers' requirements.

As an added service to our customers, Caprichem has invested in a very large in-house training facility, whereby we offer theoretical as well as practical training. When training is not possible from our training facility, we offer the same service to our customers on site. Whether it is a food factory, valet centre, school or a retirement home for HACCP training, vehicle cleaning or floorcare training, our sales representative will be fully equipped to provide off site staff training. When sales representatives are employed by Caprichem they write in-house exams and are trained to become qualified before servicing existing and new clients. We will always do our best to make sure that our customers staff are using the correct products in the correct way for the purpose intended. Once training is completed, a certificate is issued to each worker that attended the training relevant to the industry ie: food & beverage, automotive, hospitality, etc. This is very necessary for it uplifts one’s spirit and keeps all staff motivated.
